We are continuing our reading inside of Numbers here, and we're going to go from Numbers 13 yesterday into Numbers 14 today. This is an important part of this report of this incredible land, flowing with milk and honey, right? Like, this is a great place!
We want to live here. And in our verse for today, Numbers 14, verse 9, it says: "Only rebel not ye against the Lord, neither fear ye the people of the land, for they are bread for us. Their defense is departed from them, and the Lord is with us.
Fear them not." Now that seems like it's some epic movie moment with this captain of the guard bringing all of his men together to have a speech before they ride off into the sunset and win in their battle. That's not what happened for Caleb. In fact, the very next verse we find out that the group listening to their report starts to throw stones at them.
Through the way the Lord sees them, there will be those that don't want to see it that way. There will be those that have no faith at all in what you're trying to accomplish. Sometimes it means you take the road alone.
As for Caleb and what happened here, he received a promise that many of the others there didn't receive, and that was the promise to see the. My friends, today's message is a short one because it's simple. Fear not the challenges you face.
