In Matthew 5.13, Jesus calls us the salt of the earth, a bold reminder that our lives are meant to carry his flavor, his truth, and his love to the world. Join me each day to explore one verse of scripture and one thought, striving to stay full of savor and truly live as savory salt. Hello, my friends.

It is great to have you with me. Today, let's be anxiously engaged in a good cause and bring to pass much righteousness. We are diving in this week to the vision.

That's simply what the early saints referred to in Doctrine and Covenants, section 76. We're also going to be reading this week, Alma chapters 25 through 28, as we get some more missionary action over there. With Ammon and his brothers.

Doctrine and Covenants section 76 is powerful and by good reason. It is referred to as the vision because we learn so much about the plan of salvation inside of it. But we also see the role of our Savior Jesus Christ clearly throughout it.

He really is the center of the vision. And so as we look this week, I want to encourage you to I invite you to see the role that Jesus Christ plays in the plan of salvation our Heavenly Father plan He is pivotal and our relationship with him becomes pivotal inside of Doctrine and Covenants 76 as well Now, my friends, I am not going to get in this week into the different kingdoms, which is commonly what we talk about inside of Doctrine and Covenants 76. Instead, the approach that I wanted to take was one kind of through the lens of savory salt.

And it was this, if we have a belief that things like the vision can truly be manifested in our day, what does it take for you and I to prepare ourselves to be open to those types of spiritual experiences? To start with that this week, I wanted to look at our verse for today, Doctrine and Covenants, section 76, verse 10. It says in verse 10, For by my Spirit will I enlighten them, and by my power will I make known unto them the secrets of my will.

Yea, even those things which eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor yet entered into the heart of man. My friends, do you and I truly buy into the idea that the Lord can reveal secrets to us? That through the Spirit we can be taught?

That is truly one of the reasons why I dive into the Scriptures on a daily basis It one of the reasons why I started Savory Salt It was for Allen It was for me to sit down and get back into the scriptures and seek not just to read the words but to seek to increase the spirit in my life, to enlighten me and to seek the truth that the spirit can speak in my life. It wasn't until just a very, very recent conversation with a good friend of mine that I realized just how much this has actually played a role in my life. It was a good friend of mine.

We were talking about a specific aspect of the plan of salvation. We were actually talking about the fall of Adam and Eve. And she has a different spiritual map of the world, right?

And so she's aware of mine as a member of the church. And she came to me and was asking me questions about the way that I saw the fall. As the two of us spent time referring to the book of Genesis and reading through the version of the fall I realized just how much the Spirit had enlightened me on my understanding of the fall of Adam and Eve and their role inside of the plan of salvation.

It led me to ponder on my own experiences in the temple and what we learn in the temple with regards to the fall of Adam and Eve. My friends, us seeking spiritual knowledge can come through us reading scriptural knowledge. I am grateful for the things I been able to learn by the Spirit and I am excited to continue to develop my spiritual abilities so that I can allow the Lord to make known His secrets of His will and that I can understand those things Things which eyes not seen, nor ears heard, nor yet entered into the heart of man.

As we get into Doctrine and Covenants 76, one of the things that I love inside of here that's just kind of a side piece, maybe you'll notice it as you read it, Joseph and Sidney, as they're going through this, the angel and the Lord has to remind them, hey, write this down. And I think they're experiencing this amazing revelation and kind of getting lost in the moment. And the Lord's like, hey, the angel, you know, they're like, hey guys, remember you're seeing this with your spiritual eyes, but you really need to be recording this.

They're like, oh yeah, yeah, I'm going to record that. My friends, I hope that you and I can see through spiritual eyes as we continue to dive in on a daily basis to the words of the Lord so that we can see him in our lives more often. That's all for today, my friends.

Lift up your hearts and rejoice. Cleave into the covenants you have made and together we will be savory salt. For more information, visit us at www.fema.org.
