In Matthew 5:13, Jesus calls us the salt of the earth, a bold reminder that our lives are meant to carry his flavor, his truth, and his love to the world. Join me each day to explore one verse of scripture and one thought, striving to stay full of savor and truly live as savory salt. Hello, my friends, great to have you with me.

Today, let's be anxiously engaged in a good cause and bring to pass much righteousness. I hope you have had an amazing Easter week, Holy Week, Easter Sunday, all the things. I hope you have felt the love of Jesus Christ in your life as well as the amazing message that you and I can and will live again as Jesus Christ.

I'm going to dive in this week. We've got Doctrine and Covenants sections 37–40 in our reading, as well as Mosiah chapters 3–7. That's going to be our reading for the week.

And I'm going to do one little kind of transition here from Easter into our reading by going into Mosiah chapter 3 today for our verse for today. So don't forget Doctrine and Covenants sections 37–40. We will dive into those, for sure.

But I thought this one would be kind of a little bit of a blend from Easter into our reading for the week. I love how these chapters line up. It's just the way that it works, right?

Our verse for today comes in the middle of King Benjamin's teaching to his people, and it's going to be in Mosiah 3, verse 5. Although I'll let you know this segment really is a powerful segment as King Benjamin teaches his people about the life of Jesus Christ before, for them, before he came to earth. And so really you're going to really want to look at verses 5 through about, oh, 11 or so, 11 or 12 as I'm sitting here kind of looking at these verses.

But our verse for today comes with King Benjamin. And it says, verse 5: For behold, the time cometh, and is not far distant, that with power the Lord Omnipotent, who reigneth, who was and is from all eternity to all eternity, shall come down from heaven among the children of men, and shall dwell in a tabernacle of clay, and shall go forth amongst men, working mighty miracles, such as healing the sick, raising the dead, and raising the All manner of diseases. And then it continues talking about the life of Christ here.

I love this verse because it reminds me: today, our modern apostles and prophets have continually reminded us and encouraged us to, one, have faith and believe in miracles and, two, to expect them and see them in our lives. And this is such a great one for me because it reminded me of the power of "Spiritual Momentum" by President Russell M. Nelson in April of 2022.

I'll send the link here so that you can go back and study that and remember that. President Nelson has given us a message of ways that we can build spiritual momentum in our life. And, in number four for those ways, his suggestions, he talks about seeking and expecting miracles in our lives.

We've talked about this before, but let's stay on the note here. What does it look like to see and expect mighty miracles in our lives? He says this, President Nelson says this: "In the same way, the Lord will bless you with miracles if you believe in Him, doubting nothing.

Do the spiritual work to seek miracles. Prayerfully ask God to help you exercise that kind of faith. I promise that you can experience for yourself that Jesus Christ giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might He increaseth strength." Friends, I have seen and experienced miracles in my life and I want to continue to develop the faith, doubting nothing, to see and experience mighty miracles in my life.

We truly have the ability to share our faith in Jesus Christ, to ask him in faith for miracles in our lives and to see and expect them according to the will of our Heavenly Father in Jesus Christ. That is a powerful and exciting message for me as I share it with you today. That's all for today, my friends.

Lift up your hearts and rejoice. Cleave unto the covenants you have made and together we will be savory salt. For more information, visit us at www.fema.org.
