In Matthew 5:13, Jesus calls us the salt of the earth, a bold reminder that our lives are meant to carry his flavor, his truth, and his love to the world. Join me each day to explore one verse of scripture and one thought, striving to stay full of savor and truly live as savory salt. Hello, my friends.

Great to have you with me. Today, let's be anxiously engaged in a good cause and bring to pass much righteousness. Welcome back to our week focused on Doctrine and Covenants, sections 6 through 9.

We're going to actually stay inside section 6 one more time today. I hope that's okay with you. But make sure that you're keeping your reading going as you go through sections 6 through 9, as well as 1 Nephi, chapters 18 through 22.

I couldn't leave section 6 without looking at verses 32, 33, and 34. My goodness, they are a powerful collection there, for whatever reason, to me. So I know I can pick all three of them, so I will focus on just the middle one, and that is Doctrine and Covenants, section 6, verse 33.

Fear not to do good, my sons, for whatsoever ye sow, that shall ye also reap. Therefore, if ye sow good, ye shall also reap good for your reward. I love this reminder.

This is the law of harvest at play in our lives, and this is the Lord reinforcing it. Fear not to do good is such a great phrase because there are times where maybe we're a little bit anxious, or maybe a little nervous, or maybe just flat out afraid to do good or to do the right thing. But I want to tell you today about my daughters for just a second.

I'm going to shine the light on them for a second. And maybe it will embarrass them, maybe not. I don't know if they're going to listen to this episode or not, so it's fine.

Let's just talk about them for a second. But when it comes to this idea, fear not to do good, and sowing and reaping, and the law of harvest here, we have lived in our home now for almost 11 years. A neighbor that the girls, when they were little, they loved to do little crafts for this neighborly couple.

This neighborly couple was so awesome. They were so nice to my girls, and they would, they would sometimes even bring crayons over to the house and say, 'Hey, we're missing some decorations.' And then the girls would make some decorations. But since we've moved from that location, as I mentioned, it's been about 11 years now.

My girls have continued to make little holiday things, all sorts of things. Thank you for joining us today. I love this reminder for us.

I love it. I got to just say it. In 34, I love how he calls us little flock.

That is, I could have a whole 'nother thing just on that one. But my friends, the Lord has said it, it will be done. I am so grateful for the example that my girls have given me of what it's like to sow good and to be good and to do that everywhere I go so that my harvest can be that of good seed as well.

That's all for today, my friends. Lift up your hearts and rejoice. Cleave to the covenants you have made, and together we will be savory salt.
