In Matthew 5:13, Jesus calls us the salt of the earth, a bold reminder that our lives are meant to carry his flavor, his truth, and his love to the world. Join me each day to explore one verse of scripture and one thought, striving to stay full of savor and truly live as savory salt. Hello, my friends.

Great to have you with me. Today let's be anxiously engaged in a good cause and bring to pass much righteousness. Today we finish our reading for this week focused on the Restoration Proclamation.

We've done a couple episodes on that and a couple episodes on the testimony of the Prophet Joseph Smith. That has been your Doctrine and Covenants reading and your Book of Mormon reading. So you are on pace this week if you have done both of those.

We affirm that God is making known His will for His beloved sons and daughters. We testify that those who prayerfully study the message of the Restoration and act in faith will be blessed to gain their own witness of its divinity and of its purpose to prepare the world for the promised Second Coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Now this Restoration Proclamation, as we've talked about this week, is a powerful proclamation to the world.

It talks about our core beliefs and tenets inside the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. But one of the things I love in this final paragraph is where it explains that they invite all of us to know that the heavens are open. I encourage you to think into that.

What does that mean for you? That the heavens are open. They also affirm that God is making known His will for His beloved sons and daughters.

That means that you and I, with the heavens open, can seek to know what God's will is for us in our lives and the role that we can play inside of this ongoing Restoration in preparation for the world to see the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. This got me thinking about a story that's years old. It's decades old, actually.

But if you remember Mr. Rogers, those of you that are a little bit older in the audience, you'll remember Mr. Rogers.

But I can remember Mr. Rogers had a very famous interaction where he talked about a time when, I think it was a time when he was a child and his mom did this. Maybe not, maybe I'm mistaken there, but he was seeing all the chaos on TV, all the struggles, all the difficulties on TV and was kind of crying about it and was sad about it and was scared about all the chaos.

This mother, I think it was his mom, but the mother turned to him and said, "Make sure that in all this chaos you look for the helpers because there's always helpers." My friends, I want to be seen, heard, and known as a helper to the Restoration of Jesus Christ. I want to be able to be one that helping with the Second Coming of our Lord and Savior. Sign me up!

I want the heavens to be open to me. I want to seek God's will in my life. And I encourage you to take the time to do so as well.

Doing so will only enable us to become greater versions of ourselves. And hopefully at some point, become the true selves with our full potential. That infinite potential that we have inside of us, we can reach as we seek to experience the heavens open in our own lives.

That's all for today, my friends. Lift up your heart and rejoice. Cleave unto the covenants you have made and together we will be savory salt. We'll see you next time.
