In Matthew 5:13, Jesus calls us the salt of the earth, a bold reminder that our lives are meant to carry his flavor, his truth, and his love to the world. Join me each day to explore one verse of scripture and one thought, striving to stay full of savor and truly live as savory salt. Hello, my friends.

Great to have you with me. Today, let's be anxiously engaged in a good cause and bring to pass much righteousness. Welcome to day one of season two, the restoration of the fullness, the gospel of Jesus Christ.

We're going to spend our first few days inside of this proclamation from the prophet and the apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. As I mentioned at the end of season one, another thing you're going to want to understand is the pacing you're going to have as we dive into the Book of Mormon at the same time as Doctrine and Covenants. So for that, what you're going to be looking at is all of the introductory pieces of the Book of Mormon this week all the way through the testimony of the Prophet Joseph Smith.

So those will be the two areas that we're going to be sharing thoughts from. Today, we're going to look specifically from the proclamation, "The Restoration of the Fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ: A Bicentennial Proclamation to the World." This was given in April of 2020. I will make sure that you have a link to it, and I would actually suggest that you go and watch President Nelson present this proclamation.

He gives a little bit of a beginning piece to it, explaining why they decided to make a proclamation, and I love the advice and counsel he gives on the front end of it. So I'll make sure that you have a link for that one. What we're going to look at today is the first paragraph of that thought, and it says, "We solemnly proclaim that God loves His children in every nation of the world.

God the Father has given us the divine birth, the incomparable life, and the infinite atoning sacrifice of His beloved Son, Jesus Christ. By the power of the Father, Jesus rose again and gained the victory over death. He is our Savior, our Exemplar, and our Redeemer." I love that before we get into the restoration of the gospel, the prophet and apostles establish this truth up front.

We have a Father. He is God. He is our spiritual Father, the Father of all mankind.

He has sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to be our Savior, our Exemplar, and our Redeemer. These truths are foundational truths to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and to my testimony and my faith in that Church. I have faith that there is a God, Heavenly Father.

He is my Spirit Father, and as His Son, I want to be like Him. I want to learn to live like He does. He has given me a great example to follow.

That example is Jesus Christ, as mentioned here, my exemplar. I want to follow Him, and I'm so excited this year to dive into the process of becoming more like Them. I have a father, my physical father, who has passed away in this life.

And there are many aspects of him that I want to be like. And I find it so cool to sit down and think about his aspects and what I want to be like from him. And also see Heavenly Father as a being that I want to become like as well.

I would encourage you to sit down today and consider and reflect on the personal attributes of our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ that you want to invite and become more like in your life this year. I am so excited for what we have coming forward. I'm excited that you've joined me.

Welcome to season two. That's all for today, my friends. Lift up your heart and rejoice.

Cleave unto the covenants you've made. And together we will be savory salt. KRM Podcast is produced by AII America, LLC.
