Day 217 What You Send Out Returns
Show Notes
Join Allen Roberds as he reflects on Alma 41:14-15, exploring the profound principle that "what you send out returns." This episode connects the Book of Mormon's teaching on restoration to universal concepts like karma and the law of vibration, emphasizing the importance of continually showing mercy, dealing justly, judging righteously, and doing good to receive these blessings back in your life.
Key Points
- Alma 41:14-15 introduces the principle of restoration, stating that what you send out into the world will ultimately return to you.
- This spiritual law is likened to universally recognized concepts such as karma and the law of vibration and resonance.
- Alma exhorts us to actively be merciful, deal justly, judge righteously, and continually do good to ensure these blessings are restored to us.
- The analogy of two resonating guitars illustrates how actions and intentions sent out create a corresponding return or restoration.
- Understanding this principle can help cultivate a mindset focused on consistently seeking to do good and be good in all aspects of life.
My friends, Alma uses the word restoration here, but truly the idea that what you send out shall return to you again is a fascinating one and one that could help keep us in a mindset to constantly seek to do good and be good.

In Matthew 5.13, Jesus tells his followers that they are the salt of the earth, and in the same sentence offers a warning that savorless salt is good for nothing. Join me in an attempt to be savory salt as I share each day one verse of scripture and one small thought. Perhaps this small daily emphasis can lead to greater savor in your life and ultimately you and I can be savory salt.
Hello, my friends and family, wherever you're listening from, thank you for joining me and know that I'm cheering for your every success. Some say what goes around comes around. Some call it karma.
Some may call it even the law of vibration and resonance. Alma calls it a restoration. Welcome to day 217 on our 365 day journey through the Book of Mormon together.
I love this one today. You're going to be reading the chapter of the book of Mormon. Chapter of Alma 41 And inside of it Alma is going to continue teaching his son about restoration And we going to get straight to the verse today because there some interesting things inside of here Alma 41 verse 14 says this Therefore my son see that you are merciful unto your brethren deal justly judge righteously and do good continually And if ye do all these things, then shall you receive your reward.
The Bible says, You shall have mercy restored unto you again, You shall have justice restored unto you again, You shall have a righteous judgment restored unto you again, And you shall have good rewarded unto you again. And I am actually going to sneak the very beginning of 15 here, For that which ye do send out shall return unto you again and be restored. My friends, this is so interesting to see here because this can be found across the board when it comes to religious thought and also outside of religious thought in universal law as some that don't have a religious path describe it.
The law of vibration and resonance And this one can be seen in one of my favorite examples of two guitars If you had two guitars sitting right next to each other guitar A and guitar B and they were both tuned properly with the strings When you pluck the string, the first string of guitar A, do you know what happens to guitar B? That same string begins to vibrate because it is in resonance. And then here's the coolest part about it.
What happens after B starts vibrating? It sends out its own message and A starts to vibrate as well. So then comes the question, what caused A string to vibrate?
And of course the answer is the original plucking of the A string. My friends, Alma uses the word restoration here, but truly the idea that what you send out shall return to you again is a fascinating one and one that could help keep us in a mindset to constantly seek to do good and be good. I love the list here Show mercy deal justly judge righteously do good continually What a great list to consider especially in the context that if you do those things like a boomerang those things come back to you and are fully restored in your life So, whether you call it a restoration, whether you call it karma, whatever it is that you use to describe the Law of Vibration and Resonance, I hope that you see it happen in your life.
So that that which you send out truly becomes restored to you again. That's all for today my friends. Remember that by small and simple things are great things brought to pass.
Keep it small, keep it simple and always seek to be savory salt. I'll be here tomorrow and I hope you are too. We loved you and we MIKE US Thank God we signed fire livre We are save Amen
