In Matthew 5, Jesus calls us the salt of the earth and the light of the world, reminding us that our lives are meant to preserve, illuminate, and point others to Him. This season on Savory Salt, we'll walk through the Old Testament, one verse and one thought each day. Perhaps these moments will add greater savor and brighter light to our lives as we seek to truly live as Savory Salt.

Hello, my friends. It is a new day with new opportunities. Choose ye this day whom you will serve.

Let's begin our Isaiah journey with a message of light and hope for all of us. We are reading this week Isaiah chapters 1 through 12. And before we get to our verse for today, I just want to re-emphasize, yesterday I talked about how often Isaiah is quoted across scripture.

That's going to be included with modern revelation and scripture as well. What I mean by that is when we go to General Conference talks, I shared with you guys how much I love using the Citation Index app. I believe it's a conglomeration of General Conference talks from, I think, BYU does the app, as it kind of runs the base of it.

Isaiah 1:18 says this: 'Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord. Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they shall be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.' My friends, this is such an uplifting scripture. The Bible is a book of the Old Testament.

Thank you for watching. The sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow, as we seek to repent and be forgiven of our shortcomings and turn our hearts to Jesus Christ. I love the symbolism in this one.

Take some time to go into the Conference talks. I think there's 50, or even more than 50—I think there's 52 or something—direct Conference talks to this specific verse. Go through it and see what it means for you.

The Atonement of Jesus Christ is available for us all. There are none in the sound of my voice that cannot partake of the Atonement of Jesus Christ and be forgiven and have those scarlet sins turned white as snow. What a beautiful, amazing message of light for each one of us as we begin the book of Isaiah together.

That's all for today, my friends. You and I have come here for such a time as this. Step forward in faith and let's be Savory Salt. We will be here tomorrow and we hope you are too.
