In Matthew 5.13, Jesus calls us the salt of the earth, a bold reminder that our lives are meant to carry his flavor, his truth, and his love to the world. Join me each day to explore one verse of scripture and one thought, striving to stay full of savor and truly live as savory salt. Hello my friends.

It's great to have you with me. Today let's be anxiously engaged in a good cause and bring to pass much righteousness. I've got a smile on my face because, well, two things.

One, I didn't get very far in our reading. And sometimes that happens in Savory Salt. We're only a couple of verses away from what we talked about yesterday.

And that means that somewhere down the line, we're just not going to get to all the rest of it. Greetings and that's okay because as long as we're continuing to grow a little bit each day we're accomplishing the goals of Savior Salt. We are reading this week Doctrine and Covenants sections 133 and 134 as well as Mormon chapters 3 through 6 and in this one we're going to take a look at a verse inside of Doctrine and Covenants that is near and dear to my heart for a lot of different reasons.

Let's take a look at it first and then we'll talk about the near Doctrine and Covenants, Section 133, Verse 8. It says, Send forth the elders of my church unto the nations which are afar off unto the islands of the sea Send forth unto foreign lands Call upon all nations first upon the Gentiles and then upon the Jews My friends, I can testify that I have seen with my eyes the Lord calling all peoples to Him. Now I haven't been to every country and witnessed it in every land, but I can tell you through personal experience, through my love of travel, which I've talked about before, and through my own calling as a missionary for the church, that the Lord is calling His people in every land.

I can think back on my time in Mongolia where I served my mission at the incredible time that was before we had the Book of Mormon translated into Mongolian. Tiny, tiny, tiny branches, incredible saints, incredible growth. And now I fast forward to today and witness another apostle going after 1993, Elder Maxwell set apart the land of Mongolia for teaching the gospel and preaching there.

And now Elder Anderson has recently visited. In fact, I'm going to put a link inside of this podcast episode. Please go spend some time with Elder Anderson in Mongolia It an awesome link My sister sent it to me and I love it I brought tears to my eyes to be able to go and see the places he been and know that I been there But it not just Mongolia brothers and sisters It everywhere The Lord is calling elders and sisters in incredible amounts.

We've already talked about the new missions that have been formed recently. I have witnessed in the Isles of the Sea as I've been blessed to be able to work with a mission president in Papua New Guinea, a country that literally doesn't have even the government structure in place for roads, for common services like electricity, running water, toiletries, right? Like you would think that that the Lord needs some sort of a structure to work with and he doesn't.

He just needs willing hearts and people willing to stand and testify and invite others to come unto Christ. I've seen in Papua New Guinea, I've been to a tiny structure. It wasn't even a structure.

What's the best word for it? A hut? A hut maybe is the best word.

I've been to a hut in the mountains of Papua New Guinea where branch members travel hours of hiking by foot just to go to their church meetings on Sundays. And then they do it in the weekday for their activities. Brothers and sisters I been to Kenya where the Lord has now placed a temple for the people of Kenya I been to these places I seen this verse in real life and I invite you to see it for yourselves as well Because wherever you're listening to this podcast from, you're part of the building.

You're part of the opportunity to testify of Jesus Christ. You're part of the opportunity to call upon all nations. My friends, we are the Lord's hands.

We are His voice and we have an opportunity to invite our friends, our family, our loved ones, to the gospel. Truly, we have a chance today to call upon all nations. And I testify that it is the greatest work to be part of that we could ever choose to be part of.

I love missionary work and I'm so grateful to all of our missionaries, elders and sisters in every nation doing the work of the Lord. That's all for today my friends. Lift up your hearts and rejoice.

Cleave into the covenants you have made and together we will be Savory Salt. For more information, visit us at www.fema.org.
