In Matthew 5:13, Jesus calls us the salt of the earth, a bold reminder that our lives are meant to carry his flavor, his truth, and his love to the world. Join me each day to explore one verse of scripture and one thought, striving to stay full of savor and truly live as Savory Salt. Hello, my friends.

It is great to have you with me. Today, let's be anxiously engaged in a good cause and bring to pass much righteousness. My friends, I have to start the beginning of this episode with gratitude to you.

I love coming "down here." I say "down here" to where I record. I love coming here and thinking of each one of you as I do these podcast episodes. And for a long time, there was, you know, regular listeners in the United States and France and Sweden.

And it's been a long time since I referenced kind of the listenership of Savory Salt, but I wanted to just share my thanks and gratitude. After about what it's been maybe a month, maybe even two months now, we have a regular listenership together in the United States, China, Sweden, France, Malaysia, Kenya, Netherlands, Japan, Germany, and Canada. So for those of you that are coming in from all the different places of the earth, maybe even the four corners of the earth, welcome, welcome.

I love that you jump in and I hope that Savory Salt is a place for you to increase your own personal study of the scriptures and of the Lord Jesus Christ. And I hope that it is enhancing your ability to feel the Spirit. I love this, and I just wanted to start today with my gratitude to each one of you for diving in your own study of the scriptures on a daily basis.

We have been reading and have had a bit of a theme, but we've been reading this week Doctrine and Covenants sections 60 and 63 as well as Alma chapters 6 through 10. And there's been a bit of a theme around testimony, sharing it, a bit of a theme around missionary work of sorts. And I want to continue that as it's been kind of the theme.

But our verse for today comes in Doctrine and Covenants section 62. It's only a couple of verses from yesterday's. And it says here, I love the heading in 62, where it talks about it's kind of a gathering together.

And this actually happens in Alma chapter 17 as well. We're not there yet in the Book of Mormon. But Joseph and his group are kind of traveling and they meet some elders along the way that they're headed to Zion.

And so they're kind of crossing paths. And I love that it says that there's joyful salutation. So they're like, "Oh man, how are you guys doing?

It's so good to see you guys!" And then this revelation happens. So it's really kind of interesting the timing of it. And I am going to read a little bit of this revelation.

But there is a verse in here. It is very common for those that have perhaps even shared it on fast and testimony meetings sometimes. It is verse 3, and it says this: "Nevertheless ye are blessed, for the testimony which ye have borne is recorded in heaven for the angels to look upon; and they rejoice over you, and your sins are forgiven you." My friends, I hope and I wish that every stake president or mission president—this is an opportunity for us to say thank you to the elders and sisters that are out bearing their testimonies.

And is this just for the elders and sisters that are set apart as missionaries? No, it's not. This verse is a verse that says, "Thank you" at whatever level you bore your testimony.

Thank you. It's recorded in heaven for the angels to look upon and they rejoice over you and your sins are forgiven you. I love that through our testimony bearing our testimonies are strengthened.

Again, I am going to stay on this: that it is—it can be something so simple as sharing your understanding of the role that Jesus Christ plays in your life. Our next couple of verses when we get over these next couple of days are going to go back to the Book of Mormon, and we are going to stay on this topic, not just to try and emphasize missionary work, but instead for you to help settle yourself on what bearing testimony looks like for you. This could be to your friends, your family members.

This could be to complete strangers. This could be in church or out of church. Wherever it is, bear your testimony and be blessed for it.

I love that the angels get a look upon our testimonies and they rejoice over it. I don't know exactly what that means, but it sounds so cool and I love it. And I hope that my testimony helps people here on the earth as well as the angels that are recording it in heaven.

That is a beautiful thought, and it's one for each one of us to be able to hold on to as we share our testimonies going forward. Thank you again for joining me on this Savory Salt journey. That's all for today.

Lift up your hearts and rejoice. Cleave into the covenants you have made, and together we will be Savory Salt. For more information, visit us at www.femasalt.org.
