In Matthew 5:13, Jesus calls us the salt of the earth, a bold reminder that our lives are meant to carry his flavor, his truth, and his love to the world. Join me each day to explore one verse of scripture and one thought, striving to stay full of savor and truly live as savory salt. Hello my friends, great to have you with me today.

Let's be anxiously engaged in a good cause and bring to pass much righteousness. Ah, my friends, the sun is shining where I live today. The springtime is here.

The trees are blossoming. Flowers are blooming. The grass is getting greener.

It is beautiful here and what a reminder of the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ every spring is. Ha, I just feel good today and today, it's been a while since we had one of these, but today is Find a missionary, give them a high five. Give them, if you're related to them, give them a hug.

This could be, this could be senior missionaries as well. It is Find and High Five a Missionary Day. You're going to be reading this week Doctrine and Covenants sections 37–40 as well as Mosiah chapters 3–7.

And our verse for today comes in Doctrine and Covenants section 38:33. And this is such a great one from the Lord. It says, And from thence, whosoever I will shall go forth among all nations, and it shall be told them what they shall do.

For I have a great work laid up in store, for Israel shall be saved. And I will lead them whithersoever I will, and no power shall stay my hand. My friends, I don't know if you've recently seen any of the reports from the church that they put out annually, but the missionary work goes forth in amazing numbers.

And it's not about the numbers, it's about the people behind them. The Lord's work is going forward. Let's move forward.

In our area, I remember a number of years ago that we found out that our area was kind of testing online missionary lessons. And this is even, you know, separate from COVID and everything that happened with COVID and whatnot. And they were testing different ways to teach people through social media outlets and those things.

I think about my daughter who's currently serving in Argentina and the work that she's doing. And she, even in Argentina, is doing online work as well and working with leads all around Argentina. We are glad that this is a college program where people are still playing gospel and will probably be it up until forever.

The volume of the program is funded and global funding. I love this because it's keeping me in the lens of sharing the gospel, whether I have a name tag on or not. I think about the exciting times that I had as a missionary and I go, wait a second, I can continue to have those experiences and those conversations as I go forward.

I love that the Lord is gathering Israel. I love to hear the missionary stories of friends and family members and all that they're doing. I've got nephews, I've got nieces serving, my daughter's serving.

The missionary work is literally covering the globe and it is such a joy to see. So today, remember, the Lord truly does have a great work laid up in store and you and I get to be part of it. I love it.

I'm energized. I'm fired up. Go share the gospel, my friends.

That's all for today. Lift up your hearts and rejoice. Cleave unto the covenants you have made and together we will be savory salt.
