In Matthew 5:13, Jesus calls us the salt of the earth, a bold reminder that our lives are meant to carry His flavor, His truth, and His love to the world. Join me each day to explore one verse of scripture and one thought, striving to stay full of savor and truly live as savory salt. Hello, my friends.

Great to have you with me. Today, let's be anxiously engaged in a good cause and bring to pass much righteousness. I have to be honest, as we dive into this episode today, this one's been a difficult one.

Maybe in my own way or terminology, I've wrestled with the Spirit a bit. And so I hope that today what I have to share is something of value to each of you listeners. This week, we've been reading Doctrine and Covenants sections 27 and 28 as well as 2 Nephi chapters 28 to 32.

Today, I'm going to be focusing on 2 Nephi chapter 31, but wherever you're reading, I hope you're being able to get your reading taken care of this week. Second Nephi 31 is interesting as Nephi talks several times in here about the doctrine of Christ. This has been something that I, as I mentioned, wrestled with.

Not the doctrine itself, but it really made me introspect, and in a lot of ways, honestly, it made me quite melancholy as I reflected on some of the experiences that I had. Let's read the verse today and then see if I can elaborate just a little bit more and share something that perhaps can uplift or strengthen someone else. 2 Nephi 31:21 is our verse for today, and it says this. It's the very end of the chapter, so please read through the chapters so that you get the context of the doctrine of Christ that Nephi is talking about here.

It says, "And now behold, my beloved brethren, this is the way. And there is none other way nor name given under heaven whereby man can be saved in the kingdom of God. And now behold, this is the doctrine of Christ, and the only and true doctrine of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, which is one God without end.

Amen." What a powerful ending to Nephi's teachings here. Now, before you think that I'm going to head the direction of "this is the way" and give some sort of "Thank you for watching Book of Mormon" in their creation of *The Mandalorian*, I'm not going to go down that road. Maybe I already have too far.

The reason this has given me some pause is I work with a lot of different people from a lot of different areas of the world and from different walks of life. And I see them in their own ways and in their own attempts trying to find peace in this life, trying to find success in this life. They're trying to find light.

They're trying to find a better life, a brighter future, all the things. And yet, time and time again, I come back to this scripture, and I come back to the moment with Nephi testifying here that truly the only way we are saved in the kingdom of God is through Jesus Christ Himself. That is the doctrine of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.

My friends, as you're hunting for answers, as you're seeking for truth, as you're looking for a brighter future and a better life, I would encourage you to find it through Jesus Christ. Because literally every other path will leave you wanting at the end of it. I have found my life not easier, but so much better with Jesus Christ as part of it.

And I want to be more like Him so that as others are seeking and searching and finding, perhaps they give me an opportunity to speak into the reason that I have light and give me an opportunity for the reason to testify of the role that Jesus Christ has played in my life. As you go forward today, please consider that there is none other way nor name given under heaven whereby man can be saved in the kingdom of God. This truly is the doctrine of Christ.

I'm grateful for its role in my life. I hope you find it a light in your life as well. That's all for today, my friends.

Lift up your hearts and rejoice. Christ lives. He is real. Cleave unto the covenants you have made, and together we will be savory salt.
