In Matthew 5:13, Jesus calls us the salt of the earth, a bold reminder that our lives are meant to carry his flavor, his truth, and his love to the world. Join me each day to explore one verse of scripture and one thought, striving to stay full of savor and truly live as savory salt. Hello my friends, great to have you with me.

Today let's be anxiously engaged in a good cause and bring to pass much righteousness. Yesterday I mentioned to you that we're going to be inside of Doctrine and Covenants Section 25 for three consecutive days, even though it is a short section, and today is the middle of those three consecutive days. You're reading this week Doctrine and Covenants Sections 23 through 26, as well as 2 Nephi chapter 5, verses 1 through 6.

For my soul delighteth in the song of the heart. Yea, the song of the righteous is a prayer unto me, and it shall be answered with a blessing upon their heads. Friends, I love music.

Music has been a part of my life. I constantly have, I don't know, maybe some of you can relate, but I constantly have like a soundtrack playing in my head to my life. And sometimes the soundtrack sounds like, I don't know, "Top Gun" or "Karate Kid" or something.

And other times the soundtrack sounds like some epic like "Pirates of the Caribbean" music or something that's just this awesome instrumental music. I don't know, maybe I'm going a little crazy here, but I love this idea that the Lord loves music and not only does he love music, but it's a prayer to him. And so the activity for today that I have for you is to make a playlist.

Make yourself a playlist, but do it with this context. Make yourself a playlist that you would share with the Lord. Lord, if he were here, if he were sitting right next to you and he was like, "Hey, put on some music," and you're like, "All right, no problem." What would that playlist have?

It's kind of what I started to do years ago and my daughters actually caught on to it. And now my playlist that started years ago has just been slowly building. But the playlist is called "Good Stuff." That's just mine.

It's just called "Good Stuff." And I got to a point where I wanted to be intentional about what I was putting in my music playlists. And so rather than having some service or some AI bot tell me what I was supposed to be listening to, I went out and I deliberately sought out music that was uplifting, music that testified of Jesus Christ, music that made me feel good, music that had positive messaging. And so it's not all specific religious music, but it is music that I feel like I could just turn on if the Lord was sitting next to me and said, "Share your playlist with me." So my friends, I hope this one's kind of a fun one for you today.

Take some time to build yourself a playlist that you would share with the Lord and then enjoy it as you share it with others. For my soul delighteth in the song of the heart. Yea, the song of the righteous is a prayer unto me.

I love music and I love that the Lord loves music too. That's all for today, my friends. Lift up your hearts and rejoice. Cleave into the covenants you have made and together we will be savory salt.
